Company Description:

The patented ePIPE process provides superior protection against leaks and reduces the leaching of toxic metals like lead and copper from underground and in-building pressurized water supply pipes.  The patented ePIPE process involves restoring pipes in-place, with an application of an epoxy barrier coating resulting in a restored epoxy lined piping system.

ePIPE applicators save their customers time and money with ePIPE’s fast installation. Protecting underground water carrying pipes including lead service lines (LSLs) can be completed in under four hours per line and often with no excavation on the home owner’s property; In many cases no road closures are necessary. Pipes inside of buildings are treated using the same process.

Overall cost savings when compared to conventional dig and replace methods can run into the 30 to 40% range.

Pipes protected with ePIPE reduce the loss of water and reduce the leaching of toxic lead and copper into drinking water to well below U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and World Health Organization (WHO) cut-off levels. Pipes from as small as 1/2'' in diameter can be protected in-place using the patented ePIPE system and materials.

In the US, ePIPE technology for corrosion control of small diameter pipes, has been used for over 15 years and is approved under both major model plumbing codes, IAPMO/UPC® and ICC, NSF Std. 61 and exceeds physical requirements for coatings as laid out by the AWWA.  ePIPE is also approved by the UK’s Secretary of State to protect public water supplies and is in active use in the UK as an alternative to replacement of a LSL.

Service providers are located in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong, UK and Europe.
